Wakefield EMS is actively seeking dedicated, compassionate, and skilled providers to join our team. As a cornerstone of emergency medical care in our community, we are proud to offer meaningful employment opportunities for certified EMS professionals who are committed to excellence, integrity, and service.
We welcome applications from individuals currently certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as:
- Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Advanced EMT (AEMT)
- Paramedic
Minimum Requirements:
All applicants must meet the following standards to be eligible for employment at Wakefield EMS:
General Requirements:
- Minimum age 18 years
- 21 years or older to operate an EMS vehicle
- Valid Pennsylvania Class C (non-commercial) driver’s license or equivalent
- Ability to pass a Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, FBI fingerprint clearance, and PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- Not excluded from participation in federal healthcare programs (CMS)
Certification Requirements:
- Current Professional-Level CPR certification
- Completed Hazardous Materials Awareness Training
- Completed ICS 100, ICS 200, IS 700, and IS 800 (NIMS-compliant)
- Valid EMSVO endorsement (required to operate any emergency vehicle)
Paramedics Must Also Hold:
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
